Call Of Duty 5 Mission 6 - Learn How To Beat It
Call of Duty 5 (also known as Call of Duty: World at War), when played on Veteran (the top) difficulty is one of the toughest games to beat that I've ever played. I got stuck on one level in particular for several weeks. You might have expected it to be the last level, but it wasn't, it was Mission 6 - 'Burn 'Em Out.' The level is set in the Pacific, where you are fighting against the Japanese. It is the first level where you can use the flame thrower. Call of Duty 5 Mission 6 is so tough because you spend most of your time in narrow trenches, with Japanese soldiers attacking you head-on, as well as from higher ground, and in the trees. Some of the soldiers are extremely difficult to spot. Another difficulty is the Kamikaze soldiers that charge at you from all directions. To deal with these, sometimes you'll need to dodge out the way, leaving yourself exposed to a different enemy. The
key to beating 5 Mission 6 is to take it slow. You may die a lot of times to begin with (as I did), and will be tempted to rush through certain sections. This, however is a big mistake, and will only result in more dying. There is one particular section where you must pass through an enemy bunker. Several soldiers are hidden behind cover at the far end, and will continue to toss grenades at you to smoke you out of you stay hidden for too long. Unfortunately, there are also several soldiers looking down at you from a hole in the roof, who'd also love to fill you with their bullets. If you've reached it before, you'll know what I'm talking about, and you'll have most likely become equally as frustrated as I was. The key for me to beating this part, was to kill the soldiers in the roof as quickly as possible, before taking out the guys at the back of the room with grenades.
